As I woke this morning, from some very needed rest, this scripture came to my spirit.
Rev. 21:22 But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.
Rev. 21:23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.
What is amazing about this scripture, is that we see the same thing in the first part of creation. God was the very light upon the earth. The moon and the sun come on the 4th day. God gives them to govern. This is so amazing to me. What were the first days like, most likely thousands or millions of years? What was it like to have the earth illuminated with His glory. Just think on that for a while. This will be our home some day, totally engulfed in Him. For this reason I press in everyday to know Him now and to bring that glory in the encounters with others.
My heart is to see them touched by that same glory and be forever changed and inspired to press into the Loving arms of an awesome God.
