I believe revival is always available but seldom achieved. Last week in Boston, the Church told us that they were praying for three and a half years for revival. I have to say to you that it is an extraordinary commitment to prayer.
My one concern was that we sometimes pray but do not enter. So I made sure to get as many people in as I could. One of the things I did was to explain, through a translator, that God does need Marthas. He needs Marys. He needs others to enter and drink. I would pray for one person, and another would come to help. So I stopped the helper and told that person that they needed to drink. Another helper would run up, and I would repeat this until ten people were in a pile getting touched by God.
I explained to them how to best help the pastor. If everyone drank, the pastor would have more liberty and more encouragement. Sometimes we don't realize that we resist the very thing we are hungry for in the Spirit if we don't enter. The Spirit of God is always willing.
This does not mean that last week was easy. Every meeting started against a wall of observation that had to be broken down. Little by little, Dan broke it down until we hit the tipping point. This is what it takes for revival. Do you desire to be a Mary or a Martha?
